The Academy at Sisters is a small exclusive all girls boarding school for at-risk teens ages 13-18.The Academy began in 1994 in beautiful Bend, Oregon, at the base of the Three Sisters Mountains, Faith, Hope and Charity. The Academy is one of six therapeutic programs operated by J Bar J Youth Services, a private non-profit organization since 1968. Unlike many private programs, J Bar J is not affiliated with any larger corporate entity. We have provided a spectrum of services for at-risk youth and families for 40 years, and are proud of the hundreds of troubled girls who have successfully completed our programs. Our on-campus academic programs are accredited with the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, registered with the Oregon Department of Education, and The Academy is licensed by the Oregon Department of Human Services. The average length of stay at our Oregon boarding school is 14-18 months, but our program is open-ended. We also offer a transitional living program, Pathways, providing independent living within a guided and structured atmosphere.
