Academic Profile

Boarding School at-risk GirlsThe Academy at Sisters Oregon boarding school is dedicated to providing an environment that supports high level learning for at-risk teenage girls. We believe that focused effort inspires successes and enhances achievement for all. This focused effort will develop the love of learning and be the basis of personal commitment to life-long learning.

The Academy at Sisters provides year round school. It operates on a system of five terms annually, with Spring, Summer and Holiday recess. We are able to address a variety of needs, from the mildly learning disabled student to the accelerated high-achiever, offering remedial to advanced coursework.

Course offerings are extensive and are designed to meet the needs of each student. Teaching methods are innovative and address the diverse learning styles of our students.

The Academy requires completion of 27 units to complete the High School Diploma, exceeding the State of Oregon requirements. All students must demonstrate progress in meeting state content standards and complete an individual program of Personal Growth. Competency is determined through a structured level system.
