Outdoor Leadership Instructor

Shae holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Adventure Education and worked in the outdoor adventure industry for over five years before arriving here at the Academy. She’s passionate about sharing her love for the outdoors with her students and engaging them with the natural ecology of an area. The outdoors have a remarkable ability to help students realize their strength and leadership capabilities within a group. Anywhere from multi-week backpacking trips, to science classrooms, Shae has been able to integrate outdoor leadership in education settings all across the country. Her passions fall in various areas such as backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, spelunking, kayaking, rafting, ecology, as well as a variety of other activities.
